Aztec technology was interesting in how it had developed due to the fact that they had no iron or bronze to make their tools and weapons. This meant that the ancient Aztec had to developed means for creating effective tools and weapons using what the can find around them, without the benefit of some metals. Because of this, many Aztec tools were made with obsidian and chert. When they were almost overcome by Spanish conquistadors, the advances in the Aztec technology had leaded the use of copper in some of their tools and weapons. One example would be the axe blade, which is made with either stone or copper. In fact, some Aztec technology was so advanced that they even made drills which were made of reed or bone.
