The spear was another common and lesser known ancient Aztec weapon. They were extremely sharp and sometimes over 2 meters long. They did not have a small point like some spears but a blade a foot wide made of smaller blades. These spears were knows to have been able to piece Spanish armor and were sharp enough for a warrior to use it to shave. The spears are called tepoztopilli and were used in Mexico long before the Aztec empire.
